Carrie Underwood suffered injuries due to falling on the steps of her house in November, but she is still recovering those injuries. 34-years old Underwood earlier said that her wrist was broken due to falling outside of her residence. She announced on Sunday that this unfortunate occurrence also created critical cuts on her face. The country singer said in a post to her fan club members that she needs surgery on her wrist and there might be at least 40 to 50 stitches on her face. She wrote in a note (obtained by PEOPLE) that “It is crazy how a loose control momentum incident can change your life. In addition to breaking my wrist, I somehow involved injuring my own face.” But, when she came out of surgery, the night of her fall, the doctor informed her husband (Mike) that he put at least 45 to 50 stitches on her face.

She was well prepared to perform at the Country Rising benefit show. The show will be conducted at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, but this incident left Underwood unable to perform at the event. Underwood said after 7 weeks of the incident that she is on the mend, but not quite looking the same. She wrote in her post that she honestly doesn’t know how things are going to end up. She added that “I am grateful that it wasn’t much worst and I am grateful for the people in my life that have been there every step of the way”. Now, Underwood is looking optimistic for what her future holds and she needs to make 2018 more remembering year and needs to share things with people along the way.
