CBS 46 has reported that the Veteran Atlanta news anchor, 62-years old Amanda Davis has passed away. The news station has reported that she experienced a heavy stroke on Tuesday night during waiting to board a flight at the Atlanta airport. CBS 46 also publish an online post and said that her family has asked for privacy at this difficult time of sadness. The friends and colleagues of Amanda working at CBS 46 also prayed for her family.

Amanda Davis was the Emmy-award winning journalist and she spent at least 26-years at WAGA-TV. She joined CBS 46 as a morning host in the month of January 2016. Amanda was retired from WAGA in 2012 following a DUI-related arrest. She opened up about her fight against alcoholism during an interview with The Atlanta Journal-Constitution in 2016. CBS 46 informed that at the time of incident, she was planning to fly to Texas for the funeral of her step-father, but she experienced a deadly a stroke. Amanda Davis also posted a message on Sunday at her official Facebook regarding Christmas celebrating after losing a loved one.
