At least 30 People Killed & 90 Injured at Wedding Ceremony in Turkey

An unfortunate incident happened in the Southern Turkey in which at least 30 people have been killed and at least 90 people injured in a massive explosion attack not far from Syrian border in Southern Turkey. The incident of explosion attack took place in the university town of Gaziantep at the time when a large wedding ceremony poured out into the streets. The initial investigations indicated that it was a suicide bomb attack. The BBC also reported about this incident and mentioned that investigation teams believe that this suicide bombing is linked to ISIS militants due to they are losing strategic ground near the northern border in Syria. The BBC correspondent Seref Isler reported from Gaziantep and said that this suicide attack took place in a city at the edge of Syrian border. This activity is related to what is happening across the border, but it was more shocking because the suicide bomber targeted a wedding party.

Wedding Attack in Turkey

Wedding is considered a joyful and event of happiness, but suicide attack turned it into a bloodbath and killed dozens of innocent people. The Deputy Prime Minister of Turkey Mehmet Şimşek called this suicide bombing as “the savage & brutal attack”. This incident has considered one of the deadly bombing incidents in the region over the last year and it is linked to the Kurdish militants or Islamic State terrorists. It is important that at least 44 people were killed at the main airport of Istanbul in the month of July by 3 suicide bombers of ISIL. In another attack in the current year, at least 40 people were killed in Ankara in March in suicide bomb attack and Kurdish separatist group was involved in this attack.
