US President Donald Trump attacked the Lincoln Project during a rally in Pennsylvania. He alleged them of being Republicans in name only RINO. On Monday, Trump alleged the fake news media and big tech of being in a partnership against him. He said, “Then you have the RINO’s. You have the bad Republicans. You have the sick RINOs that I’ve beaten so badly over the years. Do you know the RINOs that do the ads and stuff? Every one of those guys just about I’ve beaten because they all represented a client in the primaries. Instead of saying, hey he did a good job, they said let’s go against him, but every one of those guys. Take a look, real garbage not smart people”.

Donald Trump was referring to the Lincoln Project and pointed out a Republican political action committee looking to prevent his reelection. The Committee was formed by several high profile Republicans who previously worked for the party’s politicians, or publicly supported it prior to Trump’s presidency. John Weaver was the chief strategist for John Kasich’s 2016 presidential campaign and also serves as an adviser to the committee. But, the group is the only founding member to have had a client run against the president in a primary. It was formed on 17^th December 2019 and has since released several ads over the last 10 months criticizing the President and his administration.

President Trump’s speech on Monday wasn’t the first time the president has criticized the Lincoln Project. He called them “A group of RINO Republicans”, who are trying to “get even for all of their many failures. The group then released an ad titled Mourning in America. Some most popular ads of the group have centered on the coronavirus epidemic. The Lincoln Project released a video in March that criticized the initial response to Covid-19 by President Trump and alleged him of being unfit for the office. Point to be noted that the Committee recently criticized the president after he tested positive for Covid-19. The ad titled hospital and said, “His lying is killing us. We have to stop it, Vote him out”. The group has also released several pro-Biden ads after the former vice president secured the Democratic nomination.
