US President Donald Trump said on Tuesday that he is looking forward to debating Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden next Thursday, in spite of still undergoing treatment for coronavirus. He said, “FEELING GREAT”. President wrote in another tweet after returning to the White House on Monday evening, though appearing short of breath as he posed for the cameras on the Truman Balcony after removing his mask despite a number of staff members being nearby. The 15th October debate would fall within a typical Covid-19 patient’s 14-day quarantine window, but rules matter little to Trump. His general election foe on Monday said he would go on with the debate in Miami only if scientists assure him it can be done with no risk that the president would infect him or his team or workers there.

Joe Biden said on Monday that he is willing to debate Trump even though the president has coronavirus. He was speaking to reporters in Delaware before boarding a flight to the campaign in Florida. The former vice president said he intends to listen to the science. He said, “If scientists say that it’s safe, that distances are safe, then I think that’s fine”. Biden refused to say whether he would prefer a virtual second debate. Point to be noted that the president was first diagnosed, at least according to his medical team’s public contentions, late Thursday night. That would put the 9 p.m. debate just inside the 14-day quarantine window. Some experts say Trump could simply be kept more than six feet from Biden or anyone else on stage.

Both candidates have claimed victory after their first chaotic one-on-one session. The President interrupted his rival and moderator Chris Wallace of Fox News over 140 times in the first debate. He reportedly needs to return to the Oval Office, a tighter space than many realize despite experts saying he would remain contagious on what is the fifth full day of being Covid-19 positive, at some point Tuesday. He might be back on the campaign trail faster than some anticipate as he is eager to project strength while trying to close ground on Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden. President said, “The Fake News Media refuses to discuss how good the Economy and Stock Market, including JOBS under the Trump Administration, are doing. We will soon be in RECORD TERRITORY”.
