US President Donald Trump’s doctor said he was no longer at risk of transmitting the coronavirus 10 days after he first showed symptoms. On Saturday night, a memo released from the physician of White House, Sean Conley said tests of samples taken from the president show he is no longer considered a transmission risk. But, did not say he had tested negative for the virus by currently recognized standards. The current guidance from the CDC (Centers for Disease Prevention) describes most people in the US with Covid-19 should isolate for at least 10 days after symptoms show and can end isolation after that point if they have gone more than 24 hours without a fever. Conley said President Trump meets the CDC criteria.

Conley added, “The assortment of advanced diagnostic tests obtained reveal there is no longer evidence of actively replicating virus. Moving forward, I will continue to monitor him clinically as he returns to an active schedule”. President Trump first tested positive last Friday and spent 3 days in a military hospital before returning to the White House. He said in his first on-camera interview on leaving the hospital that he did not know how the infection spread at the White House. Point to be noted that more than a dozen people have tested positive for the virus. The health officials claim a function arranged in the Rose Garden on 26 September to announce the Trump’s Supreme Court nominee was likely a super-spreader event.

The latest information about the health condition of the US President hasn’t yet announced. It is noteworthy that the Taliban has denied endorsing Donald Trump after reports emerged claiming the Afghan militant group had said it hoped the US president would be re-elected. A spokesperson for the Taliban, Zabihullah Mujahid was reported to have supported Trump’s bid to remain in the White House and expressed concern over his health. The CBS News also quoted Zabihullah Mujahid to have said during a phone interview. The publication report indicates Mujahid said, “We hope he will win the election and wind up US military presence in Afghanistan”. The spokesperson for the Trump campaign rejected the Taliban support and said, “The Taliban should know that the president will always protect American interests by any means necessary”.
