United States Blamed North Korea for Hacking using Hidden Cobra Since 2009

The Technical Alert was previously issued by the FBI and the U.S Homeland Security. This Technical Alert contained the details and cyber army tools of North Korea that were being used to penetrate the media, financial, aerospace and secret infrastructure sectors in the United States and in the entire world. The U.S authorities believe that the government of North Korea has been using this army of hackers named “Hidden Cobra” to deploy cyber attacks for the past 8 years. The U.S government agencies have issued alerts after tracing the IP addresses of a modified malware used to manage North Korean DDoS attacks on South Korean computers. The United States is supporting cyber analysts to be on the observation.

The U.S also warned them that this Asian country will continue to use cyber operations to handle military and strategic objectives of the North Korean government. The report indicated that the Hidden Cobra has been using a collection of weapons including DDoS botnets, keyloggers, remote access tools and different alternatives of malware and tools. The United State authorities have indicated that NK’s sponsored Hidden Cobra has been considered the same group allegedly responsible for the massive hack of Sony Pictures in the year 2014 and it was carried out by a group named Guardians of Peace. The United States also blamed that the same group is responsible for the deployment of “WannaCry” ransomware, as it recently took hostage to a large number of PCs using the NSA hacking tools that were leaked to the public.
