The renewable energy supplies are being considered a best way due to they generate power without producing pollution in the air. As we know that the solar panels will be useless when the sun goes down. But, Tesla and Hawaii have presented an effective solution. This system will collect the sun rays in both day and night by using Power-packs manufactured at the Giga-factory. This project is called “Kapaia” and it is a combination of a solar farm 13MW Solar-City and 53MW Tesla Power-pack station on an island of Kauai. The project will be started in the partnership with Kauai Island Utility Cooperative (KIUC). This project will store the energy of sun during day timing and it will be used at night.

The station of Kauai along with its other renewable power solutions will not be able to entirely keep the island from using fossil fuels, but it will soften the need. The station of Tesla will fight against the amazingly high electricity bills. This project has been considered as a part of a long-term plan of Hawaii State to entirely power the State by renewable energy sources by the year 2045. Kauai has also mentioned its target for providing 70 percent renewable energy by the year 2030. The island will be much closer to its target for producing 100 percent of its energy needs during peak hours in day. It will also decrease loads on renewable sources during the peak usage in the day. The project is the first in its nature for providing solar energy power reliably into the night.
