Bloomberg and Electrek reported that Tesla CEO Elon Musk has taken essential measures against his employees working from home. He forwarded an email to the executive staff of the company with the subject “Remote work is no longer acceptable”. Musk said all employees make sure to spend at least 40 hours per week in the office or quit Tesla.

Musk also said this should become the main Tesla office and not a remote branch office. He responded to a screenshot of the supposed email that surfaced on Twitter. Musk didn’t reject the accuracy of the email and responded. He said anyone who fails to agree with the new policy implemented in the office should find another workplace.

However, Tesla didn’t immediately comment but confirmed the press office will disclose the new policy. Musk also said in his email that he is also considering receiving requests to work remotely for specific reasons. But he pointed out that such requests will be considered exceptional for the approval. Musk also wrote that he will personally review and approve those exceptions.
