The Trump administration has appointed a 23-year-old college senior, James Bacon to a top White House role. A news outlet reported that he is a student at George Washington University, will reportedly become the director of operations for the White House’s PPO (Presidential Personnel Office). The website of White House said the PPO oversees the selection process for presidential appointments. Point to be noted that Bacon will succeed Katja Bullock (more than 50 years his senior) worked under both Bush administrations and the Reagan administration. The recently-named head of the PPO is 29-years old former personal aide to Trump, John McEntee.

Last Thursday, he reportedly called a meeting and asked officials to root out Trump critics from their midst. The appointments of McEntee and Bacon are a sign that Trump needs to install loyalists and purge critics from his administration. McEntee was previously a part of Trump’s security team but was fired in 2018 by then-Chief of Staff John Kelly over his frequent gambling. It is noteworthy that Trump’s battle against the deep-state has increased since he was acquitted in the impeachment hearings from the U.S Senate. Bacon worked at the Department of Transportation alongside his studies prior to his alleged recruitment.

Bacon also worked as a White House liaison at the Department of Housing and Urban Development. His career in politics didn’t start at the White House. His grandmother is Doris Bacon (a former journalist for the Associated Press). She said Bacon’s first gig in politics was actually as a high school intern at the office of U.S Rep. Brad Sherman (a California Democrat). James Bacon said he worked as a paralegal for a law firm called Schmitz & Secaris in Falls Church, Virginia in 2017. He also worked as a freelance baseball trainer for relative Los Angeles in 2016 (a production assistant at Lock & Key Productions North Hollywood) and on President Donald Trump’s campaign in 2016.
