It is important that it was published on 1st April and because it was not published on any mainstream media channel, it was a clear indication of prank to celebrate April Fool day. The image was not real, it was photo shopped and altered. The catfish in the image was a regular sized catfish that can grow up to 5ft and weigh up to 120 pounds. The effect of big catfish was created with a photoshop software, by putting a man’s torso in a flat angle along with the catfish. That makes the catfish looks like a giant Mekong catfish. According to the National Geographic Channel a Mekong catfish can weigh up to 770 lbs and grow up to 9ft. But the fact is that such type of catfish is not discovered yet in real. All the news and stories are proven false about the discovery of a monster Mekong catfish.
