The Associated Press announced on 6th June 2016 that Hillary Clinton is the convincing nominee of the Democratic Party on the threshold of six of seven remaining caucuses and primaries. Sequential headlines allegedly mentioned Hillary Clinton as the first female for the nomination of U.S Presidential Election. A number of headlines quickly appeared with claim the Hillary Clinton has been considered the first female for the nomination of Presidential election. Most of the social media website started debate regarding this issue. Unmistakably, Victoria Woodhull had the title of “First”, not Hillary Clinton. Other names also added after the participation of Victoria Woodhull, but she will not lose this title of “First”.

Point to be noted that a number of other women were involved in performing their role after Woodhull. A post on Facebook published a complete list of female participants prior to the participation of Victoria Woodhull and Hillary Clinton. The Guardian also mentioned some women specific to that meme. The “Politico” reported in the month of April 2015 that it was not a secret that Woodhull participated in the Presidential race in 1872. It was half a century before the implementation of 19th amendment about the right of women to vote. It was also a truth that Hillary Clinton has been considered the first presumptive nominee from a major party. The final nomination will be announced on 25th July 2016 in the Democratic National Convention.
