Today, Apple sampled iOS 16 with major updates for the Lock Screen, and new sharing, communication, and intelligence features. The iOS 16 presents iCloud Shared Photo Library to completely share photo collections with family, and updates to Mail and Messages.

The company also made extraordinary improvements to Visual Look Up and Live Text. Apple’s SVP of Software Engineering, Craig Federighi said iOS is a major release with updates to change iPhone users’ experience. He said the company utilized advanced intelligence to Live Text and Visual Look Up with updates.

Craig said Apple has reviewed the look and is working on the Lock Screen with new attractive features. The company also presented an iCloud Shared Photo Library for families and simplified communication with new features in Mail and Messages.

A Customized Lock Screen with iOS 16

The Lock Screen feature is now more customized, powerful, and supportive with iOS 16. The subjects of photos are remarkably set on the Lock Screen with a new multilayered effect. Users are now able to alter the look of the time and date with attractive styles and color options. Moreover, the Lock Screen features widgets with motivation from the complications of the Apple Watch.

This feature makes it simple to get information including upcoming calendar events, battery levels, time zones, alarms, and many others. A new Lock Screen gallery includes a number of options such as Apple collections including Pride and Unity features. There is also a Weather wallpaper to experience live weather and its changing conditions throughout the day.

More Personalized Notifications

Apple has refreshed Notifications to wrap up from the bottom. It ensures that users are getting a clear view of their customized Lock Screen. Moreover, the Focus is more blistering and is now connecting to the Lock Screen. Users will find a way to bind Lock Screen wallpaper and widgets to a specific Focus. It enables users to simply swipe to the correlative Lock Screen to activate Focus.

iCloud Shared Photo Library

Meanwhile, the iCloud Shared Photo Library provides a new way for families to share photos perfectly with a separate iCloud library. It allows up to 6 users to collaborate, enjoy, and contribute. They can select to share existing photos using their personal libraries. A user is also able to select and send photos automatically to the Shared Library with the Camera app.

New Updates for Messages

New updates allow users to edit or recall recently sent messages, mark conversations as unread, and recover recently removed messages. Moreover, the company is also bringing SharePlay to Messages. This new update will make it possible to experience exchanged content such as movies, songs, and shared playback controls.

More Advanced Tools for Mail

Users can now schedule emails before the time and cancel message delivery prior to it reaching the inbox of recipients. Mail can detect if a user skipped adding an essential part of a message such as an attachment. Users are now able to resend a message at any time and date with the Remind Later option. The Follow Up suggestion option automatically informs users to follow up on an email.
