A Facebook group “MediaTakeout” published a video on 14th February 2017 supposedly showing the U.S federal troops on an armored tank patrolling on the streets of Chicago under the directions of Donald Trump. The published video of “MediaTakeout” group was viewed by at least 2 million online users within a couple of days. Point to be noted that this video doesn’t show federal troops. The published video was originally showing a SWAT vehicle known as “Lenco Bear Cat” and it is being operated by the city of Chicago. It is important that the specific words “Chicago Police” can be viewed clearly on the side of the vehicle when it passes by the camera.

When we tried to find out more about this video, we were unable to track-down the accurate date of this published video. It is important that Chicago had started “BearCat” long before the election of Trump as the U.S President. We found that Chicago city has been using armored vehicles since 2014. A photograph was also posted on 9th February 2017 by “DNAInfo” of one of these armored vehicles being used during a Barricade Situation. Point to be noted that the U.S President Trump also talked about imposing martial law in Chicago, but hasn’t yet sent any kind of federal troops or armored vehicles in the City of Chicago. The published video was just showing a “BearCat” vehicle operated by the Police Department of Chicago to pick SWAT team members of the city.
