A user of Facebook published a photograph on 25^th March 2016 with a claim that a rare Green Moon is expected to be appeared in the sky on 29^th May 2016. The comment section of this posted photograph said that Uranus has been considered the seventh planet from the Sun and it would be allegedly parked close to the moon. It has a greenish-blue field around it. Point to be noted that this green giant is just 4 degree away from the moon. The Uranus has been considered 4 times larger than our Earth and estimated at 3.2 billion kilometers away from the Earth. Sometimes we can see it with naked eyes, but in a very dark-night.

Point to be noted that published altered photograph of moon was taken from a blog post of 2010, but it is not related to any kind of lunar event and this blog post got this photograph from stock photo of 2008. This claim is very similar to previously posted rumors as indicated “Pink Moon” in the month of April and considered a phenomenon of real lunar event. The chronological listing of astronomical events featured by a Science website “Sea and Sky” in 2016. This website predicted six events for the month of May 2016 including Blue Moon and Full Moon on 21^st May 2016, but this website didn’t mention any Green Moon. Most of the visitors considered it as a joke, but amazingly spread among other Facebook users.
