CBS News conducted a nationwide poll using telephone between 8th and 11th March, and more than 1220 adults participated in this poll. At least 6 in 10 Americans have expressed their concern about expected Russian interruption in the midterm elections 2018.  This concern breaks down along party lines and 64% Democrats said that they are much concerned and just 15% Republicans agree with the concern, and most independents also expressed their concern. A large number of Americans said that President Trump is not seriously handling the issues regarding the investigation of Russian interference. The Republicans have shown their support for the U.S President. Most independents and almost all Democrats have shown their dissatisfaction, but two-thirds Republicans have shown their satisfaction regarding handling the issue by the U.S President Trump.

Most Americans have also expressed their views of Russian President Vladimir Putin. The data collection took place by SSRS of Glen Mills, PA on behalf of CBS News. The phone numbers were dialed from cell-phones and standard land-line. The poll utilized a random digit dial methodology and a respondent was selected randomly from all the household adults for landline sample. Interviews were also conducted with the person attending the cell-phone. Entire interviews were arranged in Spanish and English language from live interviewers. The collected data showed the reflection of U.S Census figures on demographic constants. This poll also confirms the Standards of Disclosure of the National Council on Public Polls. The expected error due to sampling for results was based on the entire samples and it might be plus or minus 3% points.
