Venezuelan leader, Nicolas Maduro has blamed the U.S President Donald Trump of speaking in Nazi Style. Trump earlier called on Venezuela’s military to abandon the country’s under pressure president. It is noteworthy that Donald Trump said on Monday, the United States stands behind Venezuelan opposition leader Juan Guaido. He also condemned Maduro and socialist policies of his government.

He asserted Venezuela’s military to abandon their support of Maduro and support Guaido. Maduro responded and claimed the U.S president spoke in an “almost Nazi Style”. He also mocked him for thinking he can give orders to the military of Venezuela. Maduro said on state TV, “Who is the commander of the armed forces, Donald Trump from Miami? They think they’re the owners of the country”.

Trump was speaking at Florida International University in Miami in front of large American and Venezuelan flags. He said, “A new day is coming in Latin America. If Venezuela’s military continued to support Maduro, you will find no safe harbor, no easy exit and no way out. You will lose everything”. He also said, “We are looking a peaceful transition of power, but all options are open”.

Maduro won a second term last year in an election rejected by critics. The United States, most of Venezuela’s neighbors, and many western countries have recognized Guaido as interim president of Venezuela. The country maintained the backing of Russia and China and his control of Venezuela’s state institutions, including the military.

It is important that Venezuela’s military blocked the United States from moving tons of humanitarian aid airlifted in recent days to the Colombian border with Venezuela. The aid shipments were designed in part to dramatize the hyperinflation and shortages of food causing so much controversy in Venezuela.
