A number of rumors circulated a couple of decades ago probably since 1960 that some major tobacco companies were looking to prepare the marijuana cigarette and deliver it legally into the tobacco markets in the United States. They started purchasing marijuana fields in Mexico and prepared new designing for marijuana cigarette packages. They started in making powerful trademarks and brand names such as “Acapulco Gold”, “Panama Red” and many others. Those rumors were not more than an item of fantastic creativity and hopeful thinking. Rumors also pointed out that the Colorado State has legalized the use of marijuana and various other States are also looking to follow Colorado State.

The above claims and some other similar claims were presented upon in an article published by a website “abril Uno” on 21^st January 2014 and republished on 30^th March 2015. This article indicated that tobacco giant Phillip Morris is looking to announce that company will be entered in the market of marijuana cigarette with its supposed brand name of “Marlboro M”. We have found that this article was just a satire item published by a website “Abril Uno” and its English abbreviation is “April One”, so it directly relates to April Fool’s Day. A disclaimer on the website also stated that a fake news website named “Now8News” got the concept from the article posted on a website “Abril Uno” with a headline “Philip Morris Marlboro M” brand Marijuana Cigarettes are now available for sale in 4 States in the United States.
