Brian Laundrie’s sister, Cassie Laundrie appeared in an interview with Good Morning America of ABC News. She urged her brother to surrender and her parents to come clean if they have anything to do with his disappearance. Cassie Laundrie informed the news outlet that she doesn’t know where her brother is, but if she did she would turn him in. Point to be noted that Brian Laundrie remains the sole person of interest in the death of his girlfriend Gabby Petito.  Brian Laundrie disappeared while the couple was on a cross-country road trip. He was last seen on 13th or 14th September, days before Petito’s remains were found in Wyoming. Parents of Laundrie informed police that he went for a hike in the Carlton Reserve and never returned.

Cassie Laundrie also took questions from a small group of protesters outside her house on Monday. The Nexstar’s NewsNation published the video, in which the group asked her if she believes her brother killed Petito and if she knew where he was. To both questions, she answered, “I don’t know”. Cassie Laundrie also informed the crowd that her brother flew home around 17th August. She said she last saw Brian on 6th September, while their family was camping at Fort De Soto Park. Cassie recalled, “We just went for a couple of hours and we ate dinner and had s’mores around the campfire and left”. Cassie added, “There was nothing peculiar about it, there was no feeling of grand goodbye. I’m frustrated that, in hindsight, I didn’t pick up on anything. It was just a regular visit”.

Cassie also informed ABC that she has been cooperating with the police. She informed the crowd of protesters on Monday that she hadn’t been able to speak with her family during the investigation. She said, “I don’t know if my parents are involved. I think if they are, then they should come clean”. Cassie was also asked about the dispute involving Petito and Laundrie in Utah, in which a 911 caller reported witnessing Laundrie “slapping” Petito. Cassie said it was common for the couple to argue and take space from each other, but she never witnessed any signs of domestic violence. Cassie said she was also mourning Petito’s loss and shared condolences with the Petito family. She said, “They deserve answers”.
