The U.S intelligence officials have predicted that it would take just 2 dozen or more anti-satellite attacks to create disruption with the military operations of the United States. They also confirmed that U.S is actually relying for communications and navigation to target just for intelligence objectives. The former strategic arms policy-maker of Pentagon, Mark Schneider said that it can potentially result in our defeat in the case of intensive conflict. He added that the entire loss of the GPS network or its massive degradation can terminate the efficiency of entire available long-range traditional cruise missile strikes. It can also degrade the functionality to most of our precious guided weapons. He confirmed that U.S is also taking steps to move away from just relying on GPS because Russia has also planned for terrestrial missile jamming systems.
