An image was published on 18^th May 2016 supposedly showing an employee of Home Depot wearing a cap with a statement that “America Was Never Great”. This image was circulated widely on most of the social media websites. The first version of similar photograph was posted by a Facebook user Joey Carlino with a title that “A Home Depot in Staten Island”. The Staten Island news source also confirmed that published photograph was original. 22 years old of St. Georgian resident Krystal Lake was wearing a provocative hat at Home Depot during her job timing. She said that everyone was asking to me about this hat, but let’s look to the past.

She further added that she was really shocked because she was not expecting this kind of response from the people. She said that it was the first time that she had worn this hat during work and she was not permitted by the manager to wear this hat. Lake is also the supporter of Bernie Sanders and she said that other workers were also wearing pro-Trump pins with their uniforms, but no one warned them not to wear these. She added that there were few people wearing Vote for Trump pins on their uniform for the past couple of weeks. The Home Depot also responded against the complaints and said that store management didn’t take any kind of notice that Lake was wearing the hat with this statement, so we didn’t take any action against her to remove it. The Home Depot confirmed that the slogan on the cap doesn’t represent the Home Depot’s viewpoint.
