Last month, the lawyers of U.S President Donald Trump’s company directly forwarded a request to the President of Panama. They asked him to interrupt the legal dispute about the Trump hotel. The Panama-based law firm, Britton and Iglesias forwarded a letter to President Juan Carlos Varela on 22nd March to intervene in a commercial dispute over Trump International Hotel. The letter indicated that the dispute might generate a chain of reactions against the reputation of Panama government. But, the letter clearly refers to his company as a famous Trump Organization.

Trump Organization requested Panama President to interfere in Hotel Dispute

The spokesman for Varela, Vladimir Rodriguez issued a statement that they are monitoring the issue but any decision regarding taking action hasn’t yet made. He added that the dispute is under the investigation of concerning authorities. Point to be noted that Orestes Fintiklis is the top owner of Trump International Hotel and he tried to fire the Trump Organization from the managerial process of the hotel. He blamed that the company of Trump for mismanagement and destructed brand for the hotel. It is important that he won massively when a Panama judge handed over the control of hotel to him. So, Fintiklis washed out the name of Trump from hotel and renamed it as Bahia Grand. The letter of Trump Organization said that Panama courts mistreated and violated a 1983 treaty between Panama and the United States.
