The U.S President Donald Trump has demanded the New York Times to hand over its GUTLESS anonymous op-ed writer. A senior administration official said that he is after the person who claimed to be part of a resistance movement inside the White House working to flat wilder habit of the U.S president. An extraordinary article was published on Wednesday evening and the unnamed official claimed that there had been whispers among members of Trump’s cabinet regarding invoking the 25th amendment to the constitution and effectively ousting the billionaire Republican. NBC reported that Trump reacted furiously to the publication of the article with the president left volcanic. He also tweeted: “Does the so-called ‘Senior Administration Official’ really exist, or is it just the Failing New York Times with another phony source?

He also wrote in his tweet: “If the GUTLESS anonymous person does indeed exist, the Times must, for National Security purposes, turn him/her over to the government at once”! He further added: “I’m draining the Swamp, and the Swamp is trying to fight back. Don’t worry, we will win”! The decision to publish came under the authority of James Bennet, editorial page editor, and James Dao, op-ed editor, with publisher AG Sulzberger weighing in. Dao informed a reporter of New York Times that the piece had been submitted last week through an intermediary, and the anonymity wasn’t granted until editors were confident of the identity of the writer. Such a move is rare for the opinion pages, it isn’t unprecedented, and Dao said that the material in the essay was important enough to publish.
