The company has been experiencing various issues, especially financial problems and decrease in its online sales because the increasing competition of a large number of new online organic food stores. Last year, the company decreased prices for its entire food items to defeat major competitor, but this step didn’t participated to keep up.

The CEO of Joe’s Trader Dan Bane said that there is a shortage of cookie butter to meet the need of costumers, so they are planning to wind-up all 457 stores and the first closing would take place in the month of May 2016 from the location of Florida. It is important that above statement was published on 31st March 2016, but it was originally visible on the well reputed Yahoo News. Point to be noted that a large number of protests took place after this claim that the entire food items of Trader Joe’s will not be available by the year 2017. This news was widely circulated online, but Trader Joe’s didn’t show any kind of fear regarding this news. Trader Joe’s only said that Yahoo! News has become the first news outlet in publishing a joke on the day of April Fool 2016.
